Configuring Provider Search in ALEX Builder

We use a UUID (a type of code) to connect ALEX to Ribbon Health's plan network data. Specific networks are assigned a unique UUID. You enter that UUID into ALEX Builder and ALEX is able to use Ribbon Health's network data to determine if providers are in-network.

When setting up Provider Search the first step is finding the UUIDs you'll need in our UUID list. Just find the network names in the spreadsheet and their corresponding UUID.

  1. Navigate to Insurance>>Medical>>Settings. Find the toggle "ALEX should not/should include the Provider Search tool." Make sure it is set to "should".

  2. Head to your Medical plans' general tab.

  3. Under the Provider Search header, add the UUID(s). If a plan uses multiple networks, separate the different UUIDs with a comma.
