Do you have multiple employee groups who pay different rates to be on the same plan? Biweekly vs. monthly paychecks? If so, this guide is for you! Premium eligibility questions will be asked at the beginning of the ALEX conversation along with the standard questions to determine which premiums employees should see.
Head to the premiums tab of the Medical, Dental, or Vision plan that needs premium eligibility.
Click the yellow "+ add a new premium group" button to add as many premium groups as you need.
You can use the "pencil" and "check" icons to edit the premium group names to reflect that premium’s criteria (biweekly/monthly employees, full-time/part-time employees, etc).
This is just an internal label for your convenience. Employees will not see the names you create in Builder!Next you'll add an eligibility question to make each premium group eligible to their premiums.
To do this, click the yellow "add an eligibility question" at the bottom of each premium group. If you don't see an applicable pre-written question from the dropdown, you'll click "+New eligibility question" at the bottom to create a question that applies to these premium groups. After selecting a pre-written question or writing a custom question, check off the answer option that would make an employee eligible for that premium group.
During the ALEX conversation, employees will see only the premium amount that corresponds with the answer they select to the eligibility question and which (if any) dependents/family members they said they'd cover.
