How does the "What Best Describes Your Situation" question work?

Before PY 2027 has launched when only PY 2026 is on the unified landing page, all the answer choices will lead to the PY 2026 configuration.  

What Best Describes Your Situation?
- I'm a new hire. (leads to 2026)
- I had a qualifying life event. (leads to 2026)
- I need info about this year's benefits. (leads to 2026)


If 2027 is launched before OE starts, the question will be:
What Best Describes Your Situation?
- I'm a new hire. (leads to 2026)
- I had a qualifying life event.  (leads to 2026)
- I need info about this year's benefits.  (leads to 2026)
- I need info about next year's benefits.  (leads to 2027)

Once 2027 OE starts the question will change to:
What Best Describes Your Situation?
- I'm here for Open Enrollment. (leads to 2027 and highlighted in a lovely mint green)
- I'm a new hire. (leads to 2026)
- I had a qualifying life event. (leads to 2026)
- I need info about this year's benefits. (leads to 2026)

Once 2027 OE is over the answers revert back to the previous version:
What Best Describes Your Situation?
- I'm a new hire. (leads to 2026)
- I had a qualifying life event. (leads to 2026)
- I need info about this year's benefits. (leads to 2026)
- I need info about next year's benefits. (leads to 2027)

Then once the new plan year begins, we start back at the beginning with just the three answer options.
